I'm a small-island girl with an aptitude for problem solving and communication. My journey from St. Lucia to the UK marked the beginning of my pursuit of a degree in Astrophysics, where I delved deep into some of the biggest mysteries of the universe. Along the way, my superpower has become the ability to take complex information like those topics in Astrophysics and tailoring my delivery to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences. During my degree, I also developed a love for solving problems with coding. While seeking opportunities to fuel this passion into meaningful projects, my career path led me into the dynamic world of FinTech where I am currently blending my programming abilities with my robust analytical and communication skills in my role as a Data Analyst.Beyond my professional role, I continue to be an avid advocate for the use of space technology for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It's funny how life works sometimes because my love for astronomy brought me full circle back to my beautiful island, where I've created a vibrant community for fellow space enthusiasts. As Founder of LUNAA Journeys, I am working to raise awareness of the benefits of space technology to sustainable development, especially for tackling climate change and the energy transition in the Caribbean. I wear multiple hats in the space community as an international speaker, mentor, published author and science communicator.
