It is my responsibility to draft and implement strategies to address the impediments the manufacturing industry in PNG faces. I am responsible for the relationship and coordination between the manufacturing industry and government and other industry sectors. I provide strategic economic advice to the Board, Industry and Government on many issues as well as direct input and / or advice to the Council for its involvement on more than 40 domestic and international committees (Business and Investment, Labour Reform, Tax Reform, Regulatory Reform, Trade, Superannuation & Financial Reform as well as medium and long term strategic planning). As Council CEO I have built effective relationships with targeted MP’s, senior government and foreign officials and other industry leaders. The challenges under my stewardship are to: elevate its status as the recognised peak body for the PNG manufacturing industry, enabling the Council to provide timely and professional advice to the government on PNG’s international trading position and effective policy to strengthen this valuable domestic industry; and to drive the statutory stakeholders to implement desirable reform agenda.

Commencing as a graduate in 2000 in the Women in Rural Industries section of the Rural Policy Development i rotated through a number of roles including: PR during the 2000 Sydney Olympic;, Industrial Relations Mgt team during the major consolidation of workplace agreements (5:1) in which i was responsible for the marketing campaign, scrubbing and drafting of the final IRC submission; Contract Management Unit with responsibilities for outsourced property, IT, HR and travel contracts; AQIS in the co-regulation team where i coordinated the binding arrangements for industries self regulation of some AQIS functions and transitioned inspectors to auditors of the arrangements; AQIS contracts manager with responsibility for its national forms and fleet contracts and consultancy engagements.
