Partner Systems Engineers train and enable EMC's Partners to position, sell and compete with EMC products, solutions and services. They develop deep relationships with Partners and their presales technical engineers to create and expand EMC mindshare. They influence, encourage and urge Partners to propose EMC solutions for all related opportunities within their customer base. Partner SEs coach and mentor Partners in EMC sales techniques and strategies to drive sales and accelerate their independence. They are EMC evangelists and provide industry-best leadership and expertise to our partners and their customers in their journey to the Cloud and Big Data.

As a vSpecialist, I'm the subject matter expert dedicated to partnering with EMC’s divisional sales, pre-sales, and partners, with the goal of enabling these teams to demonstrate value and solutions around the Software Defined Data Center and integrations/best practices with EMC technologies. I'm also engaged in key sales opportunities as part of a broader sales team, providing expertise in several areas including VMware, cloud automation, next generation applications, end user compute, and overall IT transformation. On an ongoing basis, I'm continually engaged with the various sales and pre-sales teams within EMC to assist and enable them in positioning, architecting, and fine-tuning solutions. My broad knowledge of the interaction across EMC’s product portfolio and expertise in leading edge technologies means I’m a key contributor for the opportunity and technical owner of the solution, primarily as a knowledge enabler both within the vSpecialist community as well as across EMC and the partner community. This includes sharing best practices, growing reference account relationships, delivering training, marketing activites and assisting in hands-on activities.In this role I also support various marketing programs by speaking at, and supporting trade shows, field marketing events, Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs), VMUG sessions, the VMware Communities, and active participants at VMworld, EMC World, Cisco Live and other events.

My personal specialties include thin-client/server-based computing with Citrix Presentation Server and Microsoft Terminal Services and server-consolidation and virtualization using VMware Infrastructure, PlateSpin and Vizioncore tools.
