I wrote and edited books, practice manuals, and legal forms for Texas lawyers. I served as liaison to two standing committees of the State Bar of Texas, the Pattern Jury Charges—Criminal committee and the Real Estate Forms committee. The PJC—Criminal Committee is responsible for maintaining four published volumes of model jury instructions for use in criminal cases. I worked with committee members to create new charges and revise existing charges and commentary to reflect current statutory and case law. In 2020, I began facilitating the online transition of the Texas Criminal Pattern Jury Charges, which will be offered in a subscription model with accessible pricing by 2023. The Real Estate Forms Committee publishes annual updates to the Texas Real Estate Forms Manual, which provides relevant information and resources for understanding how to handle a real estate transaction. I worked with committee members to revise forms, create new forms, and update the commentary with the latest case law to aid practitioners. My other projects included writing and editing the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) Reference Card, a resource for at-a-glance information on the DTPA.

Access to Justice * Innovation * Business Development * CommunityThe Texas Opportunity & Justice Incubator (TOJI) expands access to justice for low- and moderate-income Texans by assisting new lawyers in establishing sustainable solo practices that serve this population. I worked with several cohorts of lawyers to bolster their skills in business development, technology, financial planning, service, wellness, and community building. I facilitated the transition from an in-person program to a statewide virtual network of practitioners, allowing lawyers to establish their businesses as an extension of their existing commitments to their communities, and to provide access in underserved areas of Texas.

- Coordinated the NMC Digital Learning Initiative (funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Postsecondary Success Initiative), which aimed to bolster access and equity for all learners in higher education through a series of strategic events and reports.- Developed programming for 15 education conferences (e.g., SXSWedu), including interactive workshops, round table discussions, panel presentations, and town hall meetings. - Designed and facilitated working sessions for higher education leaders, faculty, and students to develop solutions to challenges facing the field and foster cross-institutional collaborations. - Wrote, researched, and edited publications exploring challenges, trends, and emerging technologies impacting teaching and learning.Publications:- Lead author and editor, NMC Digital Learning Initiative publication series, two editions Scaling Solutions Across Higher Education Toolkit (2017): a resource for campus leaders to convene problem-solving workshops to improve learner access and equity. I contributed research and writing for Technology Outlook reports published in the NMC Horizon Report series, examining the uptake of technology in Brazilian higher education, Australian tertiary education, and Scandinavian schools.

I represented clients in residential property sales. I specialized in helping first-time buyers navigate the complex processes of purchasing a home, working to ensure that they understood the contracts and felt confident and well-informed. I donated a portion of every commission to a charity of the client’s choice. In 2015, I was recognized for Outstanding Production.

I provided family law services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault at Texas Advocacy Project, a nonprofit law firm. I conducted trainings for law enforcement and domestic violence shelter staff on legal updates and best practices in assisting victims. I worked on the Travis County Emergency Protective Order Program, which contacts victims of all domestic violence arrests in Travis County to offer legal advice and safety planning. I also served as agency representative on Austin-Travis County Family Violence Prevention Team, a coalition of service providers aimed at providing holistic support for victims.

I edited science textbooks and articles for the Journal of Sustainable Energy Engineering. I worked directly with the publisher and various authors on these projects.
