I lead GoDaddy's Customer Security team. My team guides company decisions and drives initiatives that protect our customer assets through education, preventative measures, and guidelines, all while reducing company risk by identifying, triaging, and mitigating threats across our global platform.

I lead GoDaddy's Digital Crimes Unit. My team exists to reduce GoDaddy's global abuse footprint by detecting and removing malicious or illegal content from the internet. With millions of customers running their businesses with GoDaddy, my team focuses on developing automation to quickly discover and remove any abusive content in order to keep our customers websites and their visitors safe from infections and phishing threats.

Software Engineer/Manager - Digital Crimes UnitI currently lead a team of Software Engineers tasked with architecting scalable software to reduce GoDaddy's online abuse footprint.Our team is responsible for designing and developing in house solutions used to help detect and process phishing, malware and other illegal activities. We utilize a variety of technologies to accomplish this including Python, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ etc.I utilize my role not only as a manager, but as a mentor to help teach OO principles and software engineering best practices to junior engineers.

Software developer for Boeings Space Operations and Ground Systems. I currently lead an agile team of engineers developing and maintaining a suite of Java tools that collect and present satellite call data for analysis. This data is directly used to determine the constellations call quality over time, and is essential for for maintaining acceptable service levels.Worked on an agile team designing and developing highly available real-time ground systems software in direct support of the Iridium satellite constellation. This software utilizes C++ to handle everything from satellite contacts, to location determination and enhanced GPS service.Designed and developed a suite of user interfaces utilizing Java AWT/Swing to give operations personnel status and commanding capabilities to ground control stations.Worked on a small team of tool developers that delivered web based solutions (LAMP) to enhance and/or replace legacy processes.

Updated/Maintained the Space Vehicle Database (SVDB) for the Space Networks Group (SNG).Built payload flight software and ground system run time products for Systems Integration and Test (SI&T).Using CMVC, Version controlled both payload flight software and ground software, and delivered to operations.Worked with our direct customers to gather and validate new tool requirements.Worked directly with the software tools team to design/develop/maintain software tools and processes to improve/automate legacy processes.

Worked as a member of the Applications Development department in a limited supervision environment that required creativity and the ability to make command decisions. Responsibilities included:Designed, documented, developed, maintained, debugged and deployed system critical applications written in FoxPro and C# .NET.Created web pages using a combination of C#, ASP .NET and Transact-SQL to enhance the functionality of the customer self-service web site.Analyzed and debugged client specific code for the Technical Solutions department.

Lead a team of 6 entry level programmers through the design and implementation of custom print and mail solutions.Responsibilities included:Design, develop and maintain client specific code written in a combination of FoxPro and SQL in afast paced environment.Oversee and assist in maintenance/migration of the top twenty clients.Develop software to automate pre-existing procedures to improve efficiency.Work with customer service representatives and the customer in the requirements gathering process.Maintain service levels and quality levels at above 90%.
