Job Responsibilities of Maintenance & Spares Preventive, predictive & break down maintenance, overhauling (minor & major), complete record keeping of machines & arrangement of spare parts of machines, maintenance of plants & machines. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1- To ensure effective maintenance for trouble free operation of equipments of Hydraulic / pneumatic machines and machine accessories.2- To minimize the machine repairing time by proper planning of spares & optimum utilization of manpower, material & resources.3- To reduce the cost of maintenance by timely detecting the problem through preventive/predictive maintenance. 4- To ensure proper training and upgrade the skill of maintenance staff.5- To improve the working of department by proper training & motivation of work force, better co-ordination with others departments & outsources parties.6- Follow all ISO/TS documents.Daily machine check list, weekly/monthly /quarterly/half yearly /yearly preventive maintenance. To manage and control activities of maintenance functions as under1. Attending breakdown.2. Review of planning and pending work.3. To reduce machine breakdown time/MTTR & increase MTBF4. To reduce machine spares consumptions.5. To improve competency level of manpower.6. Performing of preventive and predictive maintenance.7. Generation of data and report on maintenance measurement of achievements maintenance objectives and its improvement. 8. To participate activities for KAIZEN.9. Maintaining documents and records of maintenance department day to day activities.To participate as team member in following1. Machine installation.2. “5-s” implementation.3. Man power selection and training.4. Machine modification or any implementation.Other Responsibilities:Fabrication, erection, piping, machines outsources job work planning with records, technical training for all subordinates, & general maintenance etc.
