Bertaso Chiara PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Biology, graduated in Biotechnology, with a master degree in Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at the University of Milan. I am currently enrolled in a Molecular Biology PhD program and, I am a former Junior scientist (Research Fellow) at the Department of Bioscience of the University of Milan, where I also performed my master degree internship. In the past three years, thanks to my internship and my current employment, I have acquired knowledge of molecular biology and biochemical laboratory techniques (gel electrophoresis, PCR, molecular cloning, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, bacterial and yeast transformation). Strong knowledge of Yeast-two-Hybrid screenings, combinatorial libraries production in yeast, and heterologous protein expression purification. Basic knowledge of in silico structural biology practices and bioinformatic sequence-based analysis.I am deeply passionate about biotechnology, microbiology, and genetic engineering. I am an extremely versatile person, able to adapt to different situations, and extremely open to learning new things and deepening my personal skills.
