I have over 16 years of experience in varied fields of Law.  I began my career at the law firms DSK legal, Mulla and Mulla Craige Blunt and Caroe and Legasis Partners and gained extensive experience in real estate, capital markets, corporate laws and Intellectual Property Rights. I subsequently took up a key in-house role with Entertainment Network (India) Limited (part of Times of India Group, India’s biggest media group) and the business entity behind the FM radio channel, “Radio Mirchi” where I spearheaded many of Radio Mirchi's projects. While at Radio Mirchi, I developed a rare expertise in Indian media laws and intellectual property laws with focus on copyright laws.  After 7 years at Radio Mirchi, I joined Disney India and was responsible for the television business which involved documentation and advisory work for production, acquisition and broadcast of the television shows, marketing, advertisement sales and all other ancillary advice.  I than moved to Chennai and was associated with a well known Mumbai Law firm named “Singh & Singh Malhotra & Hegde” as Associate Partner. I was primarily responsible for handling the media clients of the firm. Currently I am a legal retainer to The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and have helped put in order the documentation for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (“TNPL”). I am currently General Manager - Legal at Sun TV Network Limited.I have worked closely with international law firms with respect to setting up offices overseas as well as advising established corporations and start-ups on operations overseas. I have spoken at Media, Advertising and entertainment legal summits. My practice encompasses advising startups and established corporations in the field of real estate, intellectual property rights, contract laws, due diligence and other media laws.
