During my time at the Italo-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, I was able to- strengthen knowledge and communication skills, both oral and written, through liaising with external partners andediting articles for the general public on a wide variety of subjects. These ranged from local business developmentpolicies to international and European economic standards, as well as bilateral trade investment relations betweenItaly and Slovakia;-developed strong teamwork skills, by performing tasks together with senior staff to ensure the achievement ofresults that integrated both Italian and Slovak priorities and perspectives;- Gain a comprehensive knowledge of essential techniques for successful cost-effective management of EU-fundedprojects;- actively contributed to increasing efficiency in the Chamber's provision of services to members, by providingqualitative and quantitative economic analysis for internal and external consultation;- Gain the ability to think creatively while drafting and editing EU project proposals and articles for the Chamber'swebsite, as well as translating content from English to Italian and vice versa.

Duties at Amka onlus:During my internship at Amka Onlus I spent 12 months in Rome followed by 2 months in Guatemala in order to start the implementation of the projects that had been designed and drawn up.Below, a list of the responsibilities I was tasked with:- Writing project proposals for education projects for youth between 10 and 18 years.- Writing proposals for vocational training programs with the aim of supporting vulnerable Youth to improve their employ ability through comprehensive vocational and technical training, including classroom based teaching, soft skills training (such as communication skills, customer service skills, computer skills, language skills, sales and marketing skills, how to prepare a CV and how to prepare for a job interview).- Working on micro credit funding strategies in order to buy seeds, chicken, potatoes and different kind of vegetables for the local community. The small loans provided, represented an incentive to enable the inhabitants of the village to start small family farms doubling their income.- Sustainable tourism campaign in order to prevent social dislocation, loss of cultural heritage, economic dependence and ecological degradation.- Functional campaign against AIDS
