Lead in vivo studies in Alzheimer’s disease and aging following the cholinergic hypothesis.Responsibilities:• Design the studies, conduct the main experiments, interpret the results, and write the manuscripts for the following projects:(1) The effect of basal forebrain cholinergic neurons' deprivation on neurotrophins and brain vasculature in wild-type rats.(2) The therapeutic effect of ANAVEX®3-71 (M1 muscarinic receptor allosteric agonist) on reducing Alzheimer's disease hallmarks in a transgenic rat.• Write grant applications (NIH, CIHR), perform statistical analysis, and help to train new students.• Collaborator of studies about neuroinflammation and oxidative stress in individuals and animal models.
