Women's rights advocate leading supporter engagement globally. Results-driven and client-oriented professional with a global perspective and exposure to international and diverse contexts. 20 years of experience in fundraising, building strategic partnerships, corporate planning and programme management; most recently as Head of Individual, Digital and Public Giving at UN Women, the United Nations agency dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment.In my current position, I lead the work of 12 National Committees worldwide (unwomen.org/en/partnerships/national-committees), who work to raise funds from the private sector, promote women's rights and secure worldwide visibility for women threatened by poverty, disasters, armed conflict, abuse and exploitation. Through my career, I have resided in Senegal, Peru, Albania, and Mozambique, where I managed major programmes in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, public health, financial inclusion, decentralization and local governance. Before joining the UN, I served in the private sector, with a focus on optimizing business operations and marketing strategies in the media sector. Born in Italy, I hold a Master’s Degree in Development Cooperation from the University of Pavia and a Bachelor Degree summa cum laude in Marketing and Communications from the University of Rome. Immediately after my studies, I served as Graduate Research Fellow in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris and in the UNDP Human Development Report Office (HDRO) in New York. I am fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian and have working knowledge of Portuguese.
