I have recently achieved a Distinction MA in Museum Studies at UCL. My personal and academic interest in museums and galleries developed both through visiting these institutions and through my time volunteering.I previously achieved a 1st class degree with Honours in Philosophy with Proficiency in French at the University of Exeter. I was also awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Exceptional Performance.My BA dissertation, titled 'Hegemony in museum education: to deliver an authentic education to the public visitor, the hegemonic museum must undergo significant change', demonstrated the need for reform in UK institutions.My time at Exeter included holding the position of Treasurer on the committee of the Philosophy Society. I organised event budgets, secured funding and developed my skills in people management. I am incredibly grateful that I was able to meaningfully contribute to a group that I enjoyed so much throughout my time studying Philosophy.
