Key responsibilities:• Effectively responding to client briefs with design solutions that are practical, flexible and appropriate for a diverse range of applications, including both print and digital.• Engaging with clients from many different industries, including local and state government, architecture, festivals, events, hospitality, retail, and construction, to design graphics for environmental graphics, signage, hoardings, branding, packaging, advertisements, catalogues, posters, menus, stickers, custom illustrations, and office/retail fit-outs.• Creating mock-ups – and crafting rationales – that demonstrate and represent concepts with a high level of accuracy.• Working closely with the Marketing Manager to develop strategies, and deliver a range of visual communications that promote the business both internally and externally. Deliverables include graphics for social media content, website, electronic newsletters, fliers, publications, banners, signage, and custom promotional items.• Working with brand guidelines and established templates to design cohesive and consistent graphics for both internal and external projects.• Designing reports and tender documents.• Providing guidance to prepress and install teams, including the preparation of documents such asPrint & Install Guides, ensuring consistent and high quality design from inception right the way through to delivery.• Managing internal libraries of assets and resources.• Collaborating with a large team of creatives and prepress specialists to problem solve on the go and ensure projects finish on time, every time.• Identifying and managing priorities autonomously.• Working without supervision to deliver exceptional, error-free finished artwork.

Brand Guardian

Key responsibilities:• Acting as a brand custodian; ensuring that all collateral produced aligns with WACHS, WA Health and WA State Government style guide requirements (including branding, accessibility and usability guidelines).• Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop design solutions that effectively meet brief specifications and accurately communicate WACHS values and services to employees and consumers.• Undertaking the production of graphic design works from concept and development through to delivery – including deliverables for social media channels, intranet and website, electronic newsletters, fliers, brochures, invitations, publications, advertisements (press and digital), banners and signage.• Assisting with a range of public information designed for the community and media during emergencies that require health advice.• Providing artistic direction to photographers, printers and videographers – as well as managing and monitoring the use of WACHS logos and templates by internal stakeholders – to ensure consistent and quality design.• Seeking quotes, managing printing processes, and buying media (eg. ad space) in line with WACHS procurement guidelines.• Maintaining design files and other relevant records (through the use of record management software)in line with the WACHS governance guidelines.• Reviewing items such as brand style guide, website, design products and internal processes, and providing advice for improvements as required.• Managing and maintaining the WACHS photo library.• Contributing to a culture that values and upholds excellence in all aspects, including supporting and celebrating teamwork and innovation, providing high quality, memorable service to both internal and external customers, and creating an environment that feels safe and harmonious for all.
