Lead the Migrant Women’s Counter Human Trafficking Alliance program. Provide holistic case management to women survivors of human trafficking and those at risk, preparing critical immigration applications, providing settlement service and connecting them to specialized pathways. Develop vctim- and trauma-informed workplans. Organize and facilitate steering committees, workshops and capacity building sessions with/for women with lived experiences, as well as partner organizations. Develop toolkits of best practices for service providers, reports and advocacy materials. Conduct outreach activities. Represent FCJ in coalitions and meetings.

Support and respond to the needs of migrant workers who are experiencing or are at-risk of human trafficking. Provide intensive, holistic case management independently and in collaboration with the Anti-Human Trafficking team. Organize and prepare critical immigration applications such as Work Permits for Vulnerable Workers, Temporary Residency Permit on human trafficking and other grounds, and Permanent Residency Applications on Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds. Develop victim-informed work plans, complete government immigration forms and draft submission letters. Provide accurate and up-to-date information about labor rights and human trafficking. Collect and analyze data related to the case support. Maintain accurate records and statistics, and prepare reports. Assist with planning grant proposals.

Supported the development and implementation of organizational policies such as Anti-Oppression Framework, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. Advised on strategic planning and board governance matters. Co-developed the Bike Brigade’s strategic plan 2023-2025. Provided policy research and analysis, and developed resources on best practices. Contributed to an environment that supports and values anti-oppression, systemic change, and a culture of inclusion, equity and human rights. Supported and mentored the Anti-Oppression Coordinator and Summer Canada Jobs hires, as it related to policy and human rights. Assisted with planning and writing grant proposals.

Oversaw a team of legal advisors in the provision of legal advice to & representation of UCY seeking asylum before UNHCR Egypt, while upholding fair and equal access to Refugee Status Determination (RSD) procedures. Mentored legal advisors on refugee law, legal interviewing, research and drafting. Managed caseload in RSD and Age Assessment Review matters, ensuring high-quality assistance, a refugee-rights approach & the best interest of the child. Edited legal briefs & evidence in support of individual refugee claims. Researched and maintained solid knowledge of Country of Origin Information (COI) and human rights. Assisted in the development and implementation of team strategies, policies and procedures, as well as advocacy activities.

Provided legal advice to and representation of UCY in matters related to their RSD procedures before UNHCR Egypt.
