Generation Climate Europe (GCE) is the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level, bringing together 381 national organisations across 46 countries in Europe. GCE's mission is to empower youth engagement in European Union decision-making processes and advocate for stronger actions on the environment and climate.

Within an interdisciplinary and international group of experts I co-developed a NbS strategy for flood mitigation to advise Genova municipality (Italy). Our project was selected as prize winner of the NbS EduWORLD Hackathon 2024: Unleashing Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for climate and biodiversity - a Horizon Europe project. As a result, we had the chance to showcase our project during the UrbanByNature NbS EduWORLD Webinar series and the NetworkNature Annual Event 2024 | Busting myths: People with nature, held in Brussels in September 2024.

Amsterdam-Zuid, North Holland, Netherlands

I interpreted the results of the LCA and EPD of products and developed a material testing protocol in line with the latest European and Dutch standards for building materials. This process involved extensive scientific research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with engineers, allowing me to create precise and detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders. My contributions played a pivotal role in guiding decision-making processes and ensuring product development aligned with the company’s sustainability objectives.

Florence, Tuscany, Italy

The New Life project, developed in collaboration with Legambiente Toscana and Crédit Agricole Italy, aimed to establish regenerative processes in four Italian communities through participatory events for local citizens. I led the efforts in Florence, where the project culminated in the construction of a community aromatic herb garden and a successful crowdfunding campaign.Key Responsibilities:- Engaged 10 stakeholders, coordinated activities, and facilitated meetings.- Promoted local networks to foster circular economy, social inclusion, and urban regeneration.- Strengthened and developed community connections to create synergies and expand local networks.

Verbania, Piedmont, Italy

I led the "Civic Education: Sustainable Development, Social Wellbeing, and Environmental Education" course - an online program designed for 30 primary and secondary school teachers. The lessons I designed covered essential sustainability topics, including environmental pollution, circular economy, and citizen science. Lessons were tailored to provide teachers with a thorough understanding of these concepts, along with practical materials (activities and online resources) to implement in their classrooms.Key Responsibilities:- Teaching, lecture preparation, and development of educational activities.

Legambiente is an environmental organization rooted in scientific environmentalism, dedicated to protecting nature and promoting social justice in Italy. During my time with the organization, I worked on various admistrative tasks, primarily in team settings, and contributed to the organization of national and regional campaigns, such as the annual "Clean Up the World" initiative.Key Responsibilities:- Engaged in local networking to promote and increase the visibility of small, local circular businesses.- Developed educational activities for children aged 5-18.- Managed social media platforms, created newsletters and digital content- Actively supported environmental activism and the promotion of scientific environmentalism.
