Getaround’s Lead Investigator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our platform and community members. The Lead Investigator is responsible for investigating and resolving a wide range of issues, including fraudulent activity, safety incidents, and compliance violations.- Conduct in-depth investigations into reported incidents, including fraud, theft, misconduct, and safety concerns.- Investigate complaints received from the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General’s offices, internal executive team, and social media platforms.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Support, Legal, and Product, to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.- Utilize various tools and technologies to gather evidence, analyze data, and identify patterns of fraudulent behavior.- Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and other external partners to support investigative efforts and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.- Provide guidance and support to customer service agents and other team members, including training on investigative techniques and best practices.- Serve as a subject matter expert, offering essential and constructive feedback during policy discussions, and providing an expert perspective in addressing high-level escalations.- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation related to investigations, findings, and recommendations.- initiate training and development programs to advance capabilities in investigations, including improving techniques and our knowledge base.- Foster vendor relationships, and align work with program budget goals; evaluate technology and tools to enhance capabilities and operational efficiency.- Stay informed about emerging threats, technologies, and methodologies in auto theft and customer safety, adapting strategies accordingly.
