-As an IT Tester I was overseeing Production Level Testing for applications that are served as SaaS or hosted in traditional app virtualisation environments. The application set was diverse - comprising of CRM, HRIS, Expense, Timesheet, BAU applications such as Office 365 and several small legacy applications.-Actively involved in multiple projects concurrently - enabling Multi-factor Authentication for SaaS applications, upgrading an application virtualization infrastructure to a newer version and upgrading a CRM application to a newer version. Reporting to multiple project managers, I managed my time across projects and switch based on changing priorities.-Planning and writing test cases, executing and reporting results to the project manager.-Planning and coordinating pilot testing activities. Supporting the Systems Configuration team to reproduce issues found during UAT and pilot testing.-Providing support to the IT Trainer to build training artifacts aimed at business users.Highlight----------At my present job, I got the opportunity to work independently as well as in a team. Keeping in mind the requirements of the project managers, I deftly switched from making my own decisions in a project where I was working independently to working with a team of 3 to make collaborative decisions in another project driven by the Test Manager. I was appreciated for bringing a new perspective to the testing strategy.

Between June 2018 and April 2019, I was on a sabbatical which I took to spend time with my daughter and ensure a smooth transition for my family while we moved from India to Australia.This sabbatical allowed my daughter to acclimatise easily to the new environment, my wife to her return to work after maternity leave and allowed me to learn a range of household managing skills.I used the extra time to research and understand the Australian job market, going to various tech meetups to network with people and spent time learning web programming skills.

• As a Senior Software Test Engineer, collaborated with the rest of the team to release multiple versions of the Citrix License Server of very high-grade quality. For each release, with inputs from peers, wrote test scenarios for System and Integration testing, compiled test summary reports, managed defect lifecycle and led defect discussions, projected bug reports for management's perusal and provided test sign-off at the end of testing.• Independently researched to identify all the required infrastructure needed to support new features going into a release. Using the results of the research, designed, built and maintained the required infrastructure.• Provided consulting services to teams across Citrix that were integrating the Citrix License Server.• During UAT, worked with internal stakeholders to provide support and helped coordinate with the development team for fixing issues.• Documenting and Reporting testing and administrative activities for multiple stakeholders' reference.• As part of a team put together to create a new VDI deployment, helped to plan and uplift an existing XenApp 6.5 deployment (IMA) to a XenApp 7.6 (FMA).• Achievements -Worked with the Automation lead to do a feasibility of automating tests during current development, encouraged and provided support to the automation team to automate legacy manual test cases, thereby increasing automation coverage and reducing manual test efforts. -Collaborated with the team to improve the existing New Hire training documentation that helped cut new hire training efforts by half.• Volunteering - Distributing stationery at government funded primary schools – As part of an initiative to help improve the situation of children studying at public schools in a very small way, was part of a team that collected funds from employees at Citrix, the sum of which was matched by Citrix and procured stationary. The stationary was then distributed at 5 public schools in remote parts of the countryside.

• As a Software Test Engineer in the Lifecycle Maintenance team, I was responsible for end-to-end testing of patches built for specific customer issues. For each patch, writing tests, getting them reviewed, executing tests and reporting results were routine tasks, as were, raising defects, providing support to developers during defect triage, fix verification and running regression tests.• The objective of the Lifecycle Maintenance Test team was to minimize the number of regression issues arising as a result of new Hotfixes made for Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop suite of applications. For each Hotfix, independently identified and built the infrastructure needed to reproduce the customer issue in-house, verified the fix provided by the engineering team and worked to release the Hotfix to the customer while meeting stringent turnaround times.• Built and managed complex test environments. With the team's focus on customer issues it was often required to build minuscule versions of the customer's environment to reproduce issues in-house and verify the fixes for them. Helped manage several shared parts of the environment.• Achievement - Led a small team of peers through documenting the lifecycle of a customer issue as it progresses through different stages such as escalation, getting approval from management to provide the customer with a fix, development, testing, globalisation and localisation, documentation and publishing to the web as a set of Visio diagrams.• Volunteering - Citrix provided ample opportunities to give back to the community.
