With no money to buy courses, I decided to intern with a FB Media buyer. FB ads were cool but guess what I found cooler? The art of persuading with written words - copywriting.I divided into it reading copywriting books and buying copywriting courses trying to gain all the knowledge I could while I freelanced and cheated on my first love remember her (civil engineering). Everything was going well, but fate had other plans for me.One day, after crafting what I believed were stellar emails for a product launch, the client emailed me 2 days into the launch…“Your Emails Suck. I want a refund”And that was the problem, I couldn’t process the refunds because I had used part of the money to satisfy my addictions (food and shelter😃)... I had to plead and see if there was any way I could salvage the launch and save my neck.Perplexed I DMed my mentor and told him what had just happened. He requested I ask my client a question.This question would become pivotal to my career.Apparently, after some questions I found out that he hadn’t emailed his list for about 8months and the method he used to acquire the list was kinda shady.Yea don’t blame me I didn’t know better then. In the chaos, I realized the power of email marketing. After the fiasco was over, I decided I was going to find out more about email marketing.To be honest, I think I’m obsessed with email marketing or maybe I can add it to my list of addictions.
