We were formed in 2011 by Nandu and John who came up with the idea after reflecting upon how corporate volunteering worked. Our consultancy services are free – our volunteers donate their time to MADTA and we use their skills gained from the corporate world in the charity sector. • Worked with a number of charities on marketing strategies, and facilitated data analysis seminars. Over time, this expanded into other ways of sharing knowledge through events. Hackathons have been a successful approach, with the largest (March 2017, Dec 2017, Jan 2019) each involving over 100 competitors from around the globe. • Organised a conference in Oct 2011 that was attended by over 60 charities, with guest speakers from businesses, charities and academia. With presentations on fundraising analytics, social media and talent development, the conference was free to attend (with no selling or sponsorship). Punishing to arrange, hugely rewarding. • Public Speaking: April 2012, DataIQ magazine fundraisers masterclass. • Crowd-sourcing ideas: The Food Waste Challenge in October 2019 was a campaign to crowd-source innovative ideas using social media as a primary channel, and harnessing the amazing power of storytelling from children. Within 4 weeks we had responses from 31 countries, engagement with 90,000 people and the videos created in response to the campaign were seen over 120,000 times.
