About Björn Hansson
I am a Swedish man currently working for SAAB Kockums as newbuilding engineer/inspector of Submarines.Previously worked as Senior Surveyor at RINA. My duties was to perform survey of existing vessels as well as survey of materials/equipment manufactured for the marine sector. Additionally I performed ISM/ISPS/MLC audit/inspections onboard vessels. Before that I have been working as Industrial Surveyor at Kiwa Sweden AB where I performed surveys of pressure vessels, boilers/heat plants as well as inspections of new constructions of pressure vessels according to PED. Additionally I was trained as welding supervisor to inspect while welders were performing test for welders license.I have also been working as Surveyor/Senior Surveyor at Lloyd's Register EMEA, Sweden. Where my duites were to perform surveys of vessels, by the end of my employment mostly involved in passenger vessels and transfer of class. I did also perform ISM/ISPS/MLC audits - both on vessels and offices.I have a graduation as Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, which allowed me to serve as seagoing engineer onboard various types of ships. Before I decided to go ashore I worked as chief engineer within offshore fleet where I served onboard seismic, psv, mrv and ahts as well as experience from tanker vessels, RoRo, RoCon, general cargo etc. I have also experience from power plants where I have been working at a nuclear power plant as field operator.
