After delivering an external stakeholder communications project for FACS, I identified the opportunity improve social outcomes by expanding collaboration and partnerships. I proposed the development of a model and framework to leverage partnerships that break the cycle of disadvantage and focus efforts for collective impact in social, health, economic and environmental arenas. The model was designed to connect business, community, government and academia to innovate shared responses to social and community issues. It prioritises stakeholder’s individual issues and aligns them to develop solutions that achieve common goals. I achieved the following outcomes:• Designed, built and scaled The Collective NSW, enabling cross sector collaboration to support vulnerable groups. • The Collective NSW was launched at Parliament House by Treasurer and Minister for Family and Community Service with the support of 5 Districts in June 2014.• Built capacity of District staff to lead and manage the model locally.• Established systems, templates and guides to support District staff to replicate the model.• Expanded stakeholders to 2000 including business, academic, NGO and community leaders across NSW.

I was engaged to develop and lead a project to build capacity through better stakeholder engagement and communication.I designed and delivered a project that assessed:• Who are our stakeholders and how are we engaging with them?• What is our current approach to stakeholder communications across Family and Community Services (FACS)?• What are the fundamental issues faced by clients in each of the eight divisions of FACS ?I achieved the following outcomes:• Mapped out the current approach for stakeholder communications within divisions.• Developed an integrated, best practise approach to stakeholder communications across eight divisions within FACS.• Developed key stakeholder networks to include thought leaders, private sector and wider community.• Identified the opportunity to explore new relationships and cross-sector partnerships to leverage social capital and improve client outcomes.

Manage key policy reforms in Ageing and Disability Services. Liaise with wide range of government, NGO and corporate stakeholders. Provide advice on policy reform, stakeholder engagement and portfolio planning. Drive whole of government approaches to ageing and disability.After success as a Policy and Communications Manager for Aging NSW I highlighted that 80% of the aging population don’t end up in Aged Care facilities and face a broad range of issues that not addressed by current policy.I prepared a business case and negotiated with 22 Cabinet Ministers to secure cross-portfolio budget contribution and fund the development of Government strategy targeted to the challenges of an aging demographic.I achieved the following outcomes:• Engaged with the aging community to understand the contemporary issues they face.• Conducted gap analysis of current services to identify practical outcome-focused solutions.• Drove a whole of Government, cross-portfolio, collaborative approach to ageing and disability and provided advice on policy reform, stakeholder engagement and portfolio planning. • Managed key policy reforms in Ageing and Disability Services.• Liaised with NGO’s, Government and corporate stakeholders to develop private-public partnership programs.

I provided strategic advice to senior executives on communication project and program design and delivery.I achieved the following outcomes:• Designed products for niche markets on tax matters. • Developed strategies to identity fraud, small and micro business and non-profit business segments. • Developed communication strategies to better inform vulnerable groups on the tax system.• Developed “Super and Us Mob” with real-world stories to educate the vulnerable on the superannuation system and how to make informed decisions on super schemes.
