I was provided hands-on experience in the daily operations of the Intelsat Secure Operations Center (ISOC). While there I received training on satellite communications/operations; telecommunications management; identifying and managing satellite interference; troubleshooting satellite terminal and circuit issues. I was able to provide technical insight into multiple projects to assist in ISOC mission success.

Serves as the Intelligence Information Systems Officer for US Army North G2 and Officer in Charge (OIC) of the CONUS JWICS Mobile Integrated Communications Systems (CJMICS). Responsible for implementing, operating, maintaining and protecting the CJMICS networks. Performs system, network, and database administration; and configuration management functions for the CJMICS and garrison network systems. Ensures all intelligence specific equipment and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment are operational and prepared to deploy anywhere within USNORTHCOM and ARNORTH's Area of Operations (AOR). Provides technical C4ISR planning and guidance in support of the G2 and JFLCC Commander for Homeland Defense (HLD) and Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) missions. Provide technical support and training for ARNORTH - Mexico mil-to-mil training.

Manage six personnel in the daily operations of the US Army North Joint Network Communications Center (JNCC). Provide garrison and deployed support to the command, Task Force 51, and 10 Defense Coordinating Elements (DCE) with NIPR, SIPR, VTC and VOICE services. Provide support to Defense Support to Civil Activities (DSCA) and National Level Events (NLE). Provide G6 and staff daily status of network and issues affecting the command. Monitor network performance and usage for terrestrial circuits, satellite and BGAN connections. Coordinate with installations, US NORTHCOM, 7th Signal Command (T), and outside agencies for communications support for deployed forces. Establishes and manages daily battle rhythm supporting Network Operations (Net Ops) during real-world contingency operations and national level exercises. Synchronizes daily Net Ops actions with Theater NetOps

Officer-In-Charge of the Special Operations Command, Europe (SOCEUR) Network Operations Center responsible for managing communications requirements, network services, force modernization, fielding, testing and evaluation of SOCEUR sytems to include radio, voice, video and data for garrison and tactical/deployable environments. Develops policy recommendations, advises and provides technical guidance to the SOCEUR Commander, J6 and staff for the planning, administering, managing, maintaining, operating, integrating and securing of SOCEUR's garrison and tactical networks. Coordinates with external agencies, commands, unit Signal Officers and contractors regarding deploying, requesting, engineering, installing, and troubleshooting communications equipment and networks in support of real world events and exercises.

Commands the Rear Detachment of a deployed Brigade HHC company. Responsible for projecting power to the company in Iraq in the form of trained replacement personnel, new equipment and other requirements identified overseas. Supports families of deployed Soldiers by supervising Family Readiness Group operations and conducting compassionate and efficient casualty notification and tracking operations. Executes transitions for soldiers conducting PCS, ETS and administrative separation. Identifies, prioritizes and processes elimination packets for soldiers pending separation from the service. Maintains accountability of company equipment not deployed and executes property transactions supporting other Fort Lewis units.

Supervises five personnel assigned to the 4/2ID Rear Detachment S6 shop. Maintains Brigade Rear Detachment S6 operations and helpdesk. Provides oversight over Brigade Rear Detachment communication infrastructure. Manages brigade electronic keying equipment. Provides communication support to Brigade and Battalion Rear Detachments ensuring continuity of operations. Maintain accountability of all brigade communications assets. Coordinates with I Corps G6 and the Department of Information Management (DOIM) for rear detachment and forward unit support. Manage brigade web presence on Fort Lewis and vFRG. Advises Brigade Rear-Detachment staff on planning, managing, maintain, and operating the brigade networks. Plans lifecycle management for Brigade Rear-Detachment communication equipment.

Supervised 25 soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen assigned to the Horn of Africa (HOA) Support Wide Area Network (HSWAN) team. Supervises and manages electronic keying equipment at the node level. Manages electronic keys required to support CJTF-HOA tactical networks. Provides tactical communication support for all Contingency Operating Locations (COL) in the CJTF-HOA AOR. Coordinates with Theatre Network Control (TNC) and Camp Lemonier Technical Control Facility (TCF) regarding planned and unplanned communication outages. Provides oversight over CJTF-HOA communication infrastructure for the AOR. Advises CJTF-HOA staff on planning, managing, maintaining, operating, and integrating CJTF-HOA tactical networks. Plans lifecycle management for CJTF-HOA satellite communications equipment.

Supervise and manage the operation of tactical communications equipment and personnel at the node level. Supervises and manages keying equipment and information at the node level. Plan, install, administer, manage, maintain, operate, secure, and troubleshoot SBCT4 tactical and garrison networks. Manages electronic keys required to support signal networks. Develop policy recommendations, provides technical guidance, and advise commanders and staff for the planning, administration, managing, maintenance, operation, integration and security of tactical telecommunications networks.
