Chief Kimball's last position was the Major Command (MAJCOM) Chief Enlisted Manager individual mobilization augmentee (IMA) for the public affairs career field at Headquarters, Air Force Space Command Public Affairs, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. He provided high-level expert advice to the AFSPC/PA director on Reserve issues as well as more than 35 years of professional broadcast, public affairs, and marketing expertise. Kimball was also responsible for augmenting the Chief’s management of the career field throughout the command—mentoring and advising military and civilian public affairs professionals. Kimball also served as a senior public affairs leader in public affairs for the Air Force Reserve Command. Chief Kimball was honorably retired in January 2017 after more than 22 years of service.
