In my role within the Information System Audit team, I play a key part in providing assurance and advisory services for FirstBank's comprehensive technology infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises systems. My responsibilities also cover the bank's cybersecurity program and digital payment solutions. Importantly, our unit extends its assurance services to oversee the subsidiaries of the parent company.

In my capacity, I conduct thorough and ongoing audits of the Information Technology (IT) Department and its pertinent processes, ensuring that controls are robust and in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. Beyond auditing, I actively contribute to the establishment of a resilient framework encompassing cloud governance, risk management, and cyber security programs, while also playing a pivotal role in formulating policies for the bank.Furthermore, I serve as an internal consultant, providing valuable insights on ISO 27001 implementation, cyber security, and matters related to data privacy and protection. As a distinguished member of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) for the bank, I contribute by offering insights on the adequacy of controls concerning changes to core IT systems and the associated risks.

I carried out audit of IT and information systems. Ensured compliance to policies and regulatory requirements.As an Internal Control Officer, I diligently ensured strict compliance with the company's internal policies and procedures for loan disbursement by all credit and approving staff. This commitment translated into an impressive 210% growth in the branch's overall loan portfolio within a span of just 18 months. Moreover, my proactive measures in conducting monthly bank reconciliations contributed to a near-zero incidence of bank-related fraud over three years. Furthermore, my team and I successfully maintained a Branch Portfolio at Risk (PAR) at less than 2.75% for an uninterrupted 18-month period.

The team • Pioneered and led the successful implementation of an award-winning agricultural financing scheme and agency banking in the Northern zone of the bank, recognized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).• Orchestrated the seamless execution of agricultural input financing and farm produce off-taking collaborations between LAPO MFB Ltd and prominent entities such as Afex Nigeria, the Nehemiah Foundation, and Dangote group in regions including Kaduna, Katsina, Niger, Kano, Kebbi, and Zamfara during the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.• Spearheaded the successful implementation and 100% repayment of the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) loan in the FCT Zone.• Executed the implementation of the bank's agency banking system across Northern Nigeria's states.• Served as a board member for new staff recruitment, contributing to the growth and development of the bank's workforce.
