Faculty member in undergraduate business program teaching an experiential learning course in which students apply their knowledge of core business principles to a strategic project assessing growth opportunities for a startup. Students choose the startup that will be the subject of their semester-long project and are assigned to teams based on their startup choices.

Black-owned gaming company on a mission to nurture imagination, build community, and make learning fun. We design culturally-relevant games and experiences for communities that champion 21st century skills. Current focus is on distribution/sales of our first game, PickUp, raising capital, and growing our team.

In 2018, I took on a part-time role as the Entrepreneurship Coach for the BLUE Innovation Community, UNC’s unique collaboration space for entrepreneurship, innovation and creation. I had no intention to stay beyond one year, but I was quickly pulled in by the energy of mentoring students and creating engaging programming. Under the leadership of Vickie Gibbs, my role and influence on campus grew with my primary responsibility being the point person for all student outreach to the Entrepreneurship Center. My workshops around concepts like Customer Discovery and Value Proposition were the highest rated programs at the center, and I have been able to share my work at external events such at Black Wall Street Homecoming.
