Travelled the world to experience new cultures and communities, meet different people and volunteer in some of the communities and causes I've previously supported in my professional life.

Developed, provided leadership, technical direction, and effective implementation of London Luton Airport’s first 5-year Responsible Business Strategy. Comprised of six priorities areas within environmental, social, and governance topics, the strategy contributed to the overall business objectives and mapped out future goals.

Responsible for the development, coordination, monitoring and reporting of LLA’s 4 Community Engagement Strategy priorities. Flagship initiatives included a youth employment programme, community trust fund, charity partnership and school programme. • Managed corporate partnerships with national charities Sue Ryder and Macmillan Cancer Support, and regional charity Keech Hospice Care. Each raised an excess of £150,000.• Planned and coordinated over 50 fundraising activities including LLA’s first 5K Runway Run, Luton to Brussels bike ride and an airport-wide talent contest. • Established and organised LLA’s first jobs fair, attended by 32 airport companies offering over 400 vacancies and attended by almost 1000 people. • Support over 100 young people into employment via award-winning programme Get into Airports.• Awarded approximately 23 grants annually through LLA’s £100,000 Community Trust Fund, in adherence with LLA’s anti-bribery policies and UK Community Foundation procedures. • Built and maintained relationships with 60 + stakeholders (including charities, local government, social enterprises, educational institutions and faith groups).• Published 5 Community Annual Reports in line with the London Benchmarking Group methodology. Ensured visibility amongst critical stakeholders, including MPs within the relevant constituencies. • Developed annual CSR communication plans in collaboration with the marketing department and PR agency. Authored press releases which highlighted LLA’s responsible business approach. Media coverage includes The Times, BBC, and The Daily Mirror. • Negotiated a 125% increase in budget and additional human resource for the Community department.

The main point of contact for volunteer recruitment and administration for the Lloyd’s Community Programme with a particular focus on skilled based volunteer recruitment for Reading and Numbers Partners, Aim2Attain, Head2Head, Team Challenges and the annual Neighbourhood Games sporting event. • Organised and delivered the Neighbourhood Games sporting event for over 30 volunteers (directly employed by Lloyd’s and within the market) and 500 children. • Worked in collaboration with ELBA, The Brokerage Citylink and Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership to provide a range of volunteering and social mobility opportunities for the Lloyd’s Market. • Coordinated monthly and ad-hoc internal and external employee volunteering activities. • Assigned by management to directly respond to charity requests by email, post and calls.
