I manage GPI US, an educational institution focusing on developing global competencies for students, primarily from Japan. I launched GPI US in 2012 with the goal to equip Japanese students with critical skills they need to successfully compete in our global world. I also manage Tres Records an independent record label based in Los Angeles. I gain tremendous experience working for 10 years in the music industry. I now apply marketing strategies and creative aspects to the education industry. I also understand the impact encountering new ideas or way of thinking may give to students. They can broaden their horizons and gain critical insights into other languages and cultures. I use both Japanese and English to manage both GPI US and Tres Records and to interact with clients of those companies, keeping in mind important aspects of both Japanese and American cultures. Also, I have worked on almost all aspects of business operations of Tres Records. I am able to transfer the skills I have gained through my experience at Tres Records to the education sector. I have gained entrepreneurial business skills through my MBA program and leverage this knowledge to successfully manage and grow two companies. At GPI US, we develop and implement creative educational programs for Japanese students. Our goal is to kickstart the awareness process for students to ultimately help them understand the skills they need to develop as future professionals. By providing institutions we work with with a fresh perspective and unique opportunities, we help both Japanese and American students gain international experience and better prepare them for their personal and professional lives ahead.
