Summer Art Director & Curriculum DeveloperSports And Arts In Schools Foundation 2006 - PresentNycAs the Art Director, curriculum developer and writer for Sports and Arts in schools Foundation I develop an 8-week theme based art curriculum based upon the Department of Education Common Core Standards. In addition, I generate the materials and supply list for as many as 35 - 45 small, medium and large summer camp sites throughout the five NYC boroughs. Prior to the beginning of summer camp, I provide orientation and training sessions based on the art curriculum for in-comingsummer camp counselors and art instructors. Within the 8 weeks of summer camp, students' artwork is curated to be viewed by parents, district council men and women as well as representatives from prospective grant funding organizations. In addition, during the school year I conduct professional development seminars for the year-round Site Directors. -

Costume DraperJoseph Papp Public Theater 1995 - 2001Prior to creating and developing “It’s Sew Fun”, China Aroh worked as a costumer/draper at the Joseph Papp Public Theater, also known as the New York Shakespeare Festival. During that time, China worked with luminaries such as: Alec Baldwin, Angela Basset, Patrick Stewart, Phylisha Rashaad, Liev Schriber, Kevin Kline, Vanessa Redgrave, Don Cheadle, Jeffery Wright, Savion Glover and Mos Def, to name a few. In addition to teaching, “It’s Sew Fun”, she worked as a freelance alterations expert in the costume department of the Juilliard School.
