To realize the advanced memory devices and spintronics devices, I am focusing on the researches of magnetic and also transport properties in 2D curved nanoarchitextures and in 3D ferromagnetic heterostructures. These systems exhibit novel properties due to the geometry of nanoarchitextures and the interface in heterostructures. My research tools combine both analytical method and first-principle calculation. Moreover, I have very successful experiences in collaborating with experimentalists to realize my theoretical predictions.Recently, I have established that (1) the anisotropic magnetoresistance can be engineered to achieve 80% in a curved graphene, (2) the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can be controlled geometrically and electrically in a ferromagnetic thin film, (3) the spin orbital coupling can be boosted up to two orders of magnitude in a normal metal on a topological-insulator substrate. All of these studies are published on high-impact papers and are strongly suggested by the referees for they are very important and useful for developing spintronics devices.
