About Ching-Hui Tseng

Came to the United States from Taiwan in 1990. Majored in spectroscopy and Chemometrics and got Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Florida State University in 1994. Hired by "Henkel Corporation Emery Group" (named as Cognis later) as Senior Development Chemist in 1994 and started Raman and NIR applications for Henkel North America. Assigned to be the technical manager of “Process Analytical and Computational Method Group” in 2000. A new business, QTA (Quality Trait Analysis), was developed to combine NIR/IR and Internet technologies for analytical service in 2001. Cognis was sold to BASF in 2010. Since QTA did not fit in the core business of BASF, BASF tried to find a good home for QTA. BASF sold QTA to Eurofins Scientific, Inc. (www.eurofinsus.com) in 2012. A new company, Eurofins QTA, Inc. (www.QTA.com) was formed under Eurofins Scientific, Inc. and I was assigned to be the “CTO and Founder” of EQTA. After working 10 years in this position, I decided to step in another step of my life, retirement. However, since QTA was created by me, I still like to keep an eye on it so I am still working part time on it.
