CurrentKey Responsibilities:◊ Safely start up and shut down complex industrial machinery and equipment including CNC Press Brake, Band Saw and Plasma Cutter.◊ Inspect machines prior to start up and provide trouble-shooting and problem-solving input to the team for general production issues.◊ Check for defects in products manufactured, ensuring a high standard of quality control.◊ Study and interpret detailed engineering drawings to define machine operation and setting up of parameters.◊ Proactively troubleshoot, identify and solve any issues that arise with operation or parts.◊ Effectively operate and create programmes for various machinery in strict compliance with company policies and processes including:-CNC Press Brake (Yawei PBH-250/4100)-Band Saw (Imet KS 502)-CNC Plasma Cutter (ART XRP-7000)-Fabricating and Tacking (MIG Welder)◊ Manage all parts are completed within set deadlines ensuring quality is in line with the NZ manufacturing guidelines.Major Achievements:◊ Awarded a pay increase and more seniority, for recognition of consistently high standards of work and team support.◊ Due to a quality approach to work and a passion to increase knowledge, awarded with senior level responsibilities to operate Band Saw and Plasma Cutter.◊ Awarded further responsibility on lathe & milling machine when usual machinist unavailable.◊ Consistently exceeded personal targets, often finishing work in advance.◊ Awarded further responsibility for training staff in Brake Press and Band Saw operations.◊ Developed and implemented a new system to ensure best practise by creating a calculation for Band Saw to save material for another job, rather than scrapping.◊ Demonstrated strong skills in prioritising, multi-tasking and time management.◊ Recognised for an excellent H&S safety record. Consistently adhered to company H&S policies and procedures, while being realistic in regards to production goals.◊ Successfully commissioned CNC Brake Press program.
