• Performing quality control duties including testing firmware (written in C) and software (written in Python), writing quality control procedure documents, and reviewing designs.• Designing (in Solidworks) and fabricating mechanicals for test setups, prototypes, and medical devices.• Writing technical documentation for medical instrument’s FDA submissions.• Performing intensive data analysis. Including, processing and analyzing data from the UV-LED satellite module of Stanford University and analyzing laser parameter data. (For example, RIN curves, frequency noise plots, power efficiency.)• Designing and building optical setups including a Pound-Drever Hall setup, ULE cavity setup with a vacuum chamber, and optics for a solid-state laser.• Designing electrical schematics, layout, DFM, and DFA PCBs in Altium. analog (PID loops, ADCs, temperature controllers) to digital (MCUs, USB, NFC, UART, I2C, SPI, DAC), high voltage, low noise, RF, and power electronics.• Bringing up, troubleshooting, tuning, and soldering (down to 0402) newly designed PCBs using a variety of lab equipment including multimeters, spectrum analyzers, function generators, current meters, frequency counters, lab power supplies, and network analyzers.• Performing a full range of IT tasks including website design and maintenance, creating and maintaining a SVN in VisualSVN and Tortoise SVN, acquiring and maintaining all PC and network devices.• Designing a Nd:YAG solid state laser for commercial purposes.
