Founding member and contributor of AI standards to various global standards initiatives. Contributed towards a catalogue of "risk items" covering risk sources and risk management measures for AI systems (https://arxiv.org/abs/2410.23472). Involved in the process for drawing-up of the Code of Practice for general-purpose AI (GPAI) models under the EU AI Act, as a participant in Working Group 4: Internal risk management and governance of GPAI providers.

Worked on various assets in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Kazakhstan, including oil and gas fields in clastic and carbonate environments, across operated and non-operated ventures, supporting both the exploration and development functions. Experiences include:- Delivered field development plans (FDP) for several greenfield oil and gas fields, one of which achieved best-in-class UDC- Developed infill development plans for several oil and gas fields in complex fiscal regime- Supported the development of a near-field exploration (NFE) prospect- Supported several drilling campaigns in terms of pore pressure prediction and trajectory optimization- Managed several producing oil and gas fields with reservoir surveillance and production optimization- Coached several junior staffSkills developed:- Production forecasting using reservoir simulation models and material balance analysis- Well test interpretation- PVT characterization- Reserves estimation and reporting- Basic programming for running simulation models- Leadership skills by coordinating multidisciplinary teams in delivering projects

Facilitated two editions of the 8-week AI Safety Funamentals - AI Governance Course for cohorts of 6-8 participants.

Supported the Reservoir Development Section (RDS) under Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering (RPE) department.

Participated in the Refine research program organized by Conjecture to explore conceptual AI alignment research. Wrote posts on AI alignment proposals, engineering safety approaches, and the intersection between the two fields.

Brownfield EOR evaluation:- Performed evaluation of polymer flooding technique on a non-operated offshore mature oilfield to determine its viability against the operator-proposed iWAG EOR technique, using both analytical methods and full field reservoir simulation models.
