Chioma Fakorede is a wellness consultant and mental health advocate with over six years of experience in leading and managing an NGO that supports people with mental health conditions. She is the founder and executive director of OLAMMA CARES FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization that has impacted over 20,000 individuals through outreach and intervention programs, free mental health screening, and virtual crisis support.Chioma is also a certified yoga and meditation instructor, an author, a speaker, and a disability inclusion activist. She teaches yoga, meditation, and mindfulness to children and adults and has published a self-identity affirmation book for children. She hosts an annual workshop for professionals and caregivers of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and writes a weekly column on wellness in a national newspaper. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow for 2023, a Future Award Africa winner for health and wellness, and a TEDx speaker. Her mission is to serve her community and positively impact humanity through wellness and mental health awareness.
