CONTRACT PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER · Managed projects from concept to completion including: conceptual design, cost estimation, funds approval, detailed engineering, construct-ability reviews, scheduling, fabrication management, construction management, and safety management.· Regularly interface with production personnel from Department Manager to shop floor Operators to insure all production safety needs, project operability, and productivity targets are met. This would include, for example, ergonomics, machine guarding, electrical safety, and molten metal safety.· Supervision of Engineering/Design Staff, training of Junior Designers and training of shop floor operators on newly installed equipment.

Coordinate the budgeting, design, fabrication and installation of capital projects for the ALCOA Rockdale Electrode Department to meet current production, ergonomic, and safety requirements. Substantial experience with process equipment such as material conveying / handling systems (e.g. screw conveyors, conveyor belts, material hoppers, bulk material storage, and metering scales).Completed multiple plant equipment layout projects involving machine design, fabrication and installation as well as process layout. Responsible for overhead building crane, hoist and lifting device design, purchase and installation, including personnel “fall prevention” systems and personnel transportation equipment (Bradley man-lifts and personnel elevators).Experienced in water-cooled HVAC systems and chilling towers.Experienced in both hydraulic and pneumatic systems and controls. Supervised design, drafting, and construction staffs for project completion.Trained Shop Mechanics in sheet metal layout and pattern development.Member of the Alcoa Electrode Department and T&K tactical health and safety teams.
