I founded Krystal Glass Writing Boards to offer the US a product that was only available in Europe and Asia at the time. This small startup company generated a 12 month sales level of just under $250,000, a second year just over $550,000 and we almost doubled our sales in year 3.We soon began to see competition from very large glass companies. They had the capability of faster production and improved on the quality of our initial glass writing boards. To now compete with this growth, I developed a business plan. This plan included the investment of a portion of our increasing profits. My partner did not have the same vision and was happy to keep the status quo. Looking at losing our continuing sales growth, due to our competitors lower pricing, better product quality and faster turnaround, I decided to sell my interests. I then focused all my time and energy on my other company, C2 Resource Studio.

Art Share was developed in 1995-96 and officially founded in 1997 by Chip Austin Hunter as an affordable housing project and community arts center. For many years it operated with primary interest in serving the inner city and East LA youth through after-school art classes. Past programs have included BLAST (Building Language Arts Skills Together), FACT (Families and Communities Together) and a variety of free classes in dance, visual arts, music and recording arts. Chip left to move back to New York right after 9/11 to be with family and friends, although leaving the organization was extremely difficult, it was something necessary given the times. While creating Art Share he purchased the 30,000 square foot building, raised millions of dollars for socioeconomic programs using art as the tool to deal with the many under-served populations of Los Angeles and received the Presidents Daily Point of Light award from President Bill Clinton.
