Accountable to CEO/President for Engineering, Certification and new Product Development.•Develop FAA certification plans to include Certification Project Plans (CPP), Project Specific Certification Plans (PSCP) and Conformity Inspection Plans (CIP).•Successfully developed, STC certified and introduced Sierra's benchmark Cessna Citation re-engine programs covering 4 models of the Cessna Citations (Part 23 and Part 25) along with no less than 5 other major STC programs covering over 7 different aircraft models (CAR 3, CAR 4b, Part 23 and Part 25).•Represents company in technical/certification/compliance discussions with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ACO offices nation-wide, and particularly Fort Worth, Los Angeles and Wichita.•Directly manage team of approximately thirty Engineers, DERs, DARs and Technical Writers in support of numerous FAA STCs.•Manage and coordinate detail part and modification installation conformity activity in support of FAA STCs.•Manage and coordinate prototype aircraft flight test programs and ensure conformity and airworthiness status throughout programs. Responsible for managing programs leading to the issuance of original airworthiness certificates for flight test aircraft, experimental home-built aircraft, sailplanes and WWII aircraft.•Manage foreign validation activities with airworthiness authorities in Canada, Brazil and EASA.•Liaised with FAA Manufacturing Inspection District Office (MIDO) on all production approval and quality matters.•Accountable Manager for 14CFR Part 145 Repair Station with direct responsibility and authority over all repair station operations.•Revise and keep current all technical manuals that are mandated by FAA regulations. This includes Part 145 Repair Station, Quality Control (Part 145 and PMA), Employee Training manuals, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements and ICAs.

Accountable to CEO/President, responsible for all engineering and new product development activities.•Successfully STC certified and introduced more than 19 new products covering over 30 different aircraft models (CAR 3, CAR 4b, Part 23 and Part 25). To include but not limited to, long range fuel systems, re-engine programs, safety modifications, convenience modifications, and etc.•Successfully petitioned and was awarded, by FAA Flight Standards Service in Washington, DC, an FAA Exemption to operate the Part 25 Cessna Model 500 as a single-pilot aircraft after incorporation of certain STC modifications owned by Sierra. Have maintained and amended this exemption to include all new re-engine programs as compatible with this exemption.•Represented company in technical/certification/compliance discussions with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ACO offices nation-wide, and particularly Fort Worth, Los Angeles and Wichita.•Manage and coordinate validation activities with airworthiness authorities in Germany, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Denmark and Italy.•Managed all PMA activities for company and represents company in FAA MIDO technical/Compliance discussions.Manufacturing (1995 – Present)•Accountable to CEO/President, responsible for manufacturing of PMA parts in support of STC kit sales.•Worked closely with Engineering to develop prototype parts in support of STC development programs.•Developed new tooling to support manufacturing of parts for STC kits.•Liaison to FAA MIDO for PMA compliance.Airport Operations
