Project Director, Pathways (Title Iii) Grant

Responsible for the direct oversight and supervision of the Title III project at Valencia College, West Campus. My primary responsibilities include the management of the budget, hiring and supervision of personnel, communication of the project objectives to stakeholders, implementation of project activities, and internal evaluation support for the Title III grant. The grant initiatives provide focused and integrated student support systems and services that encompass advisement, career development and exploration, and tracking with links to instruction and student services. Additionally, develops a research-based, systematic approach to assess intervention strategies. Facilitates a collaborative, campus-wide responsibility for retention and a commitment to improving the staying environment for students (freshman-to-sophomore retention and increase the graduation rate). Provides input regarding fundraising strategies related to the Title III Endowment. Coordinates intervention strategy efforts for related academic and student success initiatives. Produces all quarterly, progress and annual reports, and data needed to evaluate the project and submit to Title III Steering Committee, Campus President, and Department of Education. Completes reports in compliance with federal guidelines. Completes Annual Performance Reports and other reports as required by the Department of Education. Directs and supervises staff assigned to projects. Serves as a liaison between the Title III Office and the College. Establishes, maintains and communicates an informed understanding of the Title III project objectives to Title III staff and other campus personnel. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels and procedures to assure that the operation of the project remains congruent with the objectives of the grant. Coordinates activities that facilitate maximum effectiveness and utilization of program resources including personnel.
