I'm an educator with a deep passion for teaching and leadership. I've been working with both undergraduate and graduate students since 2010, navigating the dynamic worlds of online and in-person education. My goal has always been to make learning impactful and accessible, no matter where it happens.In addition to teaching, I've had the chance to lead a significant Title III grant project. This role put me at the helm of large-scale initiatives, where I managed budgets, led diverse teams, and pushed our projects beyond their targets. It was a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the educational landscape through thoughtful program development and resource management.I hold a Doctorate in Education, which gives me a solid foundation in educational theory and practice. I also have a certificate in Data Analytics, which I use to inform my decisions and strategies with solid data, making sure we’re as effective as we can be.My leadership style is proactive and forward-thinking. I’m always looking for ways to better serve our educational communities and deliver exceptional results. I’m excited to connect with fellow professionals who are as passionate about education as I am, and I'm keen to explore new opportunities to drive positive change together.I am open to considering positions both within and beyond higher education where I can leverage my transferable skills to contribute meaningfully to new and exciting opportunities.

In addition to teaching student life skills courses on West Campus within the Division of Learning Support (both traditional and online formats), I also serve on various committees such as the New Student Experience, hiring panels, and student learning outcomes assessment. Additionally, I teach Faculty Development courses in both face-to-face and online formats. I have various certificates that I have achieved in the last few years offered through Valencia's Faculty Development program including the Digital Professor Certification and LifeMap Certification. Responsible for the direct oversight and supervision of the Title III project at Valencia College, West Campus. My primary responsibilities include the management of the budget, hiring and supervision of personnel, communication of the project objectives to stakeholders, implementation of project activities, and internal evaluation support for the Title III grant. The grant initiatives provide focused and integrated student support systems and services that encompass advisement, career development and exploration, and tracking with links to instruction and student services. Additionally, develops a research-based, systematic approach to assess intervention strategies. Facilitates a collaborative, campus-wide responsibility for retention and a commitment to improving the staying environment for students (freshman-to-sophomore retention and increase the graduation rate). Provides input regarding fundraising strategies related to the Title III Endowment. Coordinates intervention strategy efforts for related academic and student success initiatives. Produces all quarterly, progress and annual reports, and data needed to evaluate the project and submit to Title III Steering Committee, Campus President, and Department of Education. Completes reports in compliance with federal guidelines. Completes Annual Performance Reports and other reports as required by the Department of Education. Directs and supervises staff assigned to projects. Serves as a liaison between the Title III Office and the College. Establishes, maintains and communicates an informed understanding of the Title III project objectives to Title III staff and other campus personnel. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels and procedures to assure that the operation of the project remains congruent with the objectives of the grant. Coordinates activities that facilitate maximum effectiveness and utilization of program resources including personnel.
