• Creating, launching and executing a monthly arts-based event to encourage tourism, which has grown into the county's most highly attended cultural event, starting out as a small, fledgling event to a country-wide institution and tourist attraction.• Developing and implementing the organization’s Strategic Plan and annual action plans by promoting arts events and programs, as well as developing an annual budget for approval by the Board and overseeing the management of all funds, consistent with the organization’s accounting system.• Developing the professional management team; hiring, supervising and evaluating staff, as well as coordinating work with the Board’s committees, volunteers and partner organizations.

Including the semiannual Downtown Wine Walk, Dance Week Santa Cruz, The Downtown Mini golf Art Festival, Kids Day, The Downtown Santa Cruise Pub Crawl and Scavenger Hunt, and others.• Attending City Council and various City and County Commission meetings as needed to represent downtown priorities and positions, occasionally presenting on budget or development planning, always maintaining public transparency. Serving as point-of-contact on advocating for downtown interests, interfacing with all levels of local government, city administration and the public.• Advocating for public policies that serve the interests of community residents on issues including economic vitality, homelessness, public safety, parking, transportation and small business support, while staying actively involved in community outreach and development.• Preparing and demonstrating a fluency in creating annual budgets, maintaining accurate financial reporting, developing strategic programs which increased budget and staffing by over 100% while identifying cost reduction opportunities to maximize the impact of a limited budget.
