Career Summary and Results:As the SVP of Business Development of TRC, a Professional Services and Quantitative Market Research firm, built the largest multi-million-dollar telecommunications consulting practice in the firm and managed over 25 people; TRC successfully went Public in 1998.As the Head of Strategy and Business Development of CHI Research transformed the firm from serving only government contracts to a global commercial solution. Grew the revenue of this boutique patent analytics consulting firm by 300% in just three years, sold the firm to a Private Equity Firm in 2004.Founded 1790 Analytics in 2004 and as Head of Business Development and Strategy built it up to a multi-million consulting firm and sold it to a private partnership in 2014. We were widely published and considered the gold standard in the Intellectual Property Industry for our ground-breaking use of analytics, proprietary databases, and our Patent Scorecard.Highlights over the last 25 years include: • Helped create and sold to the world's largest technology companies the first of its kind competitive intelligence software tools that monitored a company’s innovation processes through the lens of its patent portfolio. • Helped create and sold custom interactive SAS database solutions that increased licensing and revenue opportunities for Patent-Rich companies and Government Agencies. Sales success came with Microsoft, HP, Department of Energy to name a few. We were granted a Patent for this tool and our proprietary software dramatically increased licensing revenues for our clients.• Published in MIT Review, Businessweek, USA Today, and IEEE Magazine for our proprietary analytical techniques.
