As a System Administrator Specialist, I serve as a technical leader representing the Linux compute team including interviewing stakeholders to define project requirements, managing key project milestones and goals, and partnering with internal customer senior leadership to ensure project success. Notable projects and initiatives; ● Technical leader driving a datacenter consolidation migration project from an outdated datacenter to a newly built strategic datacenter. ● Technical leader driving a strategic initiative to upgrade the existing Linux server environment from RHEL 6 to RHEL 7.

In this role, I directed the Linux server infrastructure efforts by providing technical leadership and direction for key projects and objectives, mentoring junior team members, complex issue resolution and collaborating with vendor support. ● Responsible for technical direction, implementation and support of a 24x7x365 Linux server environment that supports a high volume transactional application built around achieving merchant-aligned SLAs. ● OS installation automation via Cobbler/Kickstart/PXE for physical servers and template deployments for VMWare ESXi virtual machines. LVM, Filesystem, and Active Directory authentication configuration. Work with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

As a Storage Consultant, I led project fulfillment efforts such as architecting, defining, and documenting storage solutions aligned with customer requirements and leveraging interpersonal skills to partner with senior leaders at customer locations.● Consulted with customers on-location regarding Red Hat GlusterFS Storage platform implementation.● Deployed Red Hat GlusterFS configuration based on customer requirements and objectives.● Implemented GlusterFS utilizing automated installation and configuration with ansible, storage volumes and client access protocols configuration, and ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.

In this role, I spearheaded the integration of storage solutions at client locations including software and hardware installations and upgrades, storage and system configurations, post-deployment support, and worldwide customer problem analysis.A few of my key accomplishments are; ● Leveraged software-defined storage fundamentals to install ansible-based Aquari storage platform and customer datacenter buildout. Aquari storage solution is a Ceph-based (Object storage) storage platform.● Installed Mellanox network switches and configuration, conducted Linux performance analysis and troubleshooting, and analyzed log data to ensure optimal Ceph storage performance.● Configured the Ceph-based storage platform per best practices and engineering recommendations.● Built relationships with customer managers and senior technical personnel and provided level two technical support to resolve customer issues. Provided knowledge transfer to customer technical personnel.

As Senior Delivery Specialist, I delivered trusted consultation to customers on management and use of EMC storage solutions, perform storage management tasks, and recommend effective and efficient storage system use to ensure optimal performance. ● Managed 3.5-year data migration project of 18 EMC DMX arrays to 6 EMC VMAX arrays across 1K+ servers utilizing host-based technologies and hired and led six-person India-based team to facilitate migration tasks.● Utilized host-based software Veritas Volume Manager across a variety of operating systems (Linux, AIX, Solaris) to migrate data from the outdated, unsupported DMX storage array to the new VMAX storage array.● Facilitated one-year data migration project from 12 EMC DMX arrays to 6 EMC VMAX arrays utilizing storage vMotion in VMWARE vSphere 5.5 environment, deployed and initialized new storage, created datastores, and zoned new servers.

In this role, I oversaw a Linux and EMC Storage SAN 24x7x365 multi-site environment as the sole owner including architecture, implementation, administration, and support for 160+ Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers. Served as technical lead for technology direction, related projects, and issue resolution. Responsible for rack and stack of datacenter hardware, and protection of critical data across multiple sites in event of a disaster.A few of my key contributions include:● Created an enterprise strategy to deploy a Red Hat Enterprise Linux server environment for mission critical production applications and databases across multiple sites ensuring business continuity.● Performed rack and stack of servers, operating system installation, storage configuration, filesystem creation, and OS maintenance to grow the Red Hat Linux environment from < 10 to 160+ servers across multiple sites.● Utilized EMC MirrorView to replicate business critical data and meet business data recovery service level agreements (SLA) across multiple sites in EMC SAN environment consisting of 130TB for two EMC NS480s.
