The value strategy we employ is based on the conceptual framework of Warren Buffett, Joel Greenblatt, and Monish Pabrai.We seek to buy above-average businesses at below-average prices, then we wait the 6 months to 5 years necessary for the market price to come into line with the value of the business. We target securities which we believe have the potential to double to triple in price over the next 2-5 years, while, in our opinion, posing minimal downside risk. Walleye Trading is a technology-focused equity options market-maker. I was a founding employee who helped Walleye grow from a start-up to a fully mature and profitable fund.Key accomplishments:• Helped co-author the options market-making systems for U.S. equity options, Korean index options, and Japanese index options.• Served as the head of algorithmic equity volatility trading. • Developed the risk-management models as well as the trading models which determined when to buy or to sell an option. These automated systems traded well over 100,000 option contracts daily with minimal human input.• Served as the co-project leader and chief developer for a proprietary high-performance database / programming / real-time trading environment, which allowed easy access to, analysis of, and decision-making based on more than 5PB of data. (This product became Illumon Iris.)• Interviewed quantitative analysts and developers who applied to work at Walleye.• Trained, mentored, and managed new quantitative analysts.

I worked as a research scientist in the high-performance computing environments group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Key accomplishments:• Developed tools to improve the software quality of America's nuclear-weapons simulations.• Won a Defense Programs Award of Excellence, for serving on the Lightning supercomputer project team.• Served as the software architect and the technical leader for the Alexandria project. The Alexandria project is a software environment that improved verification and validation by tracking and relating all inputs and outputs for nuclear weapons simulations. • Served as the project leader and chief programmer for Javelina, an advanced code-coverage tool that lets users compare coverage data from test cases with coverage data from actual simulations.• Researched the viability of running weapons simulations on novel new computer hardware.• Examined how existing, important lab algorithms would perform on future supercomputers.• Represented Los Alamos as the technical leader and the contract manager for Open|SpeedShop, an open-source multi-platform Linux performance tool.While at Los Alamos, I held a top-secret clearance (DOE Q), and I was an Authorized Derivative Classifier.
