Prior to joining Embrace, Chip was the owner of State Farm located in Ogunquit, Maine. He was responsible for the day to day operations and helping customers with their insurance, financial services, and mortgage needs. Prior to that, he was Senior Loan Officer and Commercial Team Manager for First Financial Mortgage in Portland, Maine for three years. Chip was also a Construction Loan Specialist and Senior Loan Officer for First Horizon Mortgage in South Portland, ME for three years. Chip was born in Portland, ME. He graduated from the University of Hawaii and New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology and a Minor in Business. Currently, he resides in Kennebunk, ME with his beautiful wife Lori. Together they have two outstanding children, Zoie and Joshua. Chip and his family are avid skiers and in 2007 they purchased a condominium at Sugarloaf and continue to ski together almost every weekend.

While working at First Horizon Home Loans I became increasingly aware of the need for alternate sources of commercial financing focused on the smaller builder for the development of subdivisions and small communities. By providing the subdivision financing I was able to get a larger percentage of the construction loans from the builder. That outlet for alternative funding was available with First Financial Mortgage and its commercial division Amvest Financial. During my time with First Financial Mortgage, I was instrumental in developing the construction lending team as well as the commercial lending division.

Using my contacts and relationships that were acquired while working at Oxford Homes as a Sales Manager and Kent Homes as the U.S. Sales Manager I was able to build a strong network of builders and developers in the housing construction market. As a result of my strong sales and higher than average loan dollar amount, I soon became the Senior Loan officer for the construction lending division in Maine. I oversaw all construction loans originating from the South Portland office. I also developed training programs to educate the loan officers and builders. This helped streamline the construction process, ultimately providing an easier, smoother process for the client, which in turn resulted in more frequent referrals
