As Director of Education for San Francisco Ballet, I had the responsibility of envisioning and leading SF Ballet’s outreach and community engagement programs, including ensuring the high artistic standards of programs, community engagement: Building broad and effective external partnerships that were strategically aligned to the institutions/school’s mission and goals. Served as chief advisor community outreach, equity and education initiatives. I designed 4 long-range plans and participated in 4 (organization-wide) strategic plan initiatives in my tenure at SF Ballet, worked with national experts on honing skills as a grounded yet innovative thought leader, learning from and remembering the past, while always pushing boundaries, strategy and practice.I established many cross-sector & first-time partnerships throughout the Bay Area and internationally on behalf of SF Ballet, including; tech Firms, CBO’s, public and private entities, corporations, local businesses and government agencies. Over a 12-year period, I turned in eleven balanced budgets for the San Francisco Ballet Center for Dance Education. I oversaw a budget that ranged from two to four million (including special projects and initiatives). I managed a staff of twenty-five employees, and over twenty consulting experts. We reached over 25-30K people annually through over 1,300 programmed events. I also served as a spokesperson for San Francisco Ballet locally and on-tour. I pioneered innovative approaches to learning, included pushing boundaries using new technology, emerging media and social networks.
