Administrative and technical duties- running routine medical laboratory tests including operation of pcr techniques on panther hologic and gene xpert machines, clinical chemistry humaster, XT2000i for fbc and carrying out microscopy, culture and sensitivity in clinical microbiology. Internal QC, Coordinating external quality assurance, corrective action and trouble shooting. Training junior scientists, interns and students in the department. Preparing s.o.ps and other quality documents. Generating monthly reports. Taking part in laboratory clinic interface and supervisory visits to external sites.
