About Chip O'Donnell

I have always been fascinated with energy, in all its forms and uses. It all began for me in high school, when I gave a speech about the promise of fusion energy - and a future of clean, limitless power that would change our world. My life's work has been dedicated to finding better ways of generating, using and most of all, conserving our energy resources. That work has taken me now to six continents, most recently to Africa, where there are regional energy crises, rolling blackouts, and growing economies needing efficient energy to help people. Wherever I have been, I have found our need for new and better energy solutions to be a constant. That's what I seek to provide - and it propels me forward.I've been lucky to have had incredible teachers and mentors along the way, from my experience leading design and construction management for a 480 MW gas turbine power station at the age of 24 to today. My mentors were tough but fair, instilling me a drive for excellence in engineering, design, business, finance and operations, and settling for nothing less. It's that drive for the best solution possible that have helped me serve my customers, colleagues and friends.I pay attention to the bigger picture beyond just the energy and infrastructure issues that are the immediate focus. Energy is a strategic tool, and knowing how to use energy advances businesses, campuses, airports and people. People know me to integrate energy and infrastructure with business strategy, using energy as a competitive advantage.I've worked with it all, from coal to natural gas to CHP and renewable energy sources like solar, biomass and wind. I've built gas pipelines and put power generating units on offshore oil and gas platforms in faraway places.Let's work together soon.Specialties: Energy Strategy, Energy Solutions, Capital Project Development, Operations, M&A, technology integration, consulting, leadership, talent development, utility/regulatory, public speaking.
