Rotation 2 of 3 in the Akamai Financial Development Program• Provided Financial Business Partner support for the Platform Division, involving quarterly forecasting, reconciling variances for Akamai's Platform-related expenses, and offering financial insight to key business decisions.• Responsible for tracking and reporting of Akamai's customers' traffic. Responsibilities include: tracking month-to-date traffic on a daily basis, end-of-month final traffic reporting, in-month forecasting and variance analysis for customer traffic, and understanding how major events impact COGS.• Delivered on monthly close processes regarding OpEx, Network Buildout & Support (COGS) and Other COGS. Responsibilities include: creating accruals for consulting as well as vendor spend, reconciling variances, creating transparency of spend for Business Partners, creating reports for Finance's monthly close to the CFO and Senior Management, and presenting traffic trends within the Close meetings.• Spearheaded multiple reorganizations within the Platform Division which involved accurately shifting spend while collaborating with the Finance Partners and Business Partners of the other Division while also keeping Senior Management apprised of updates.• Led creating the OpEx Plan and quarterly forecast updates for the Platform Division. Responsibilities include: tracking budgets, working with Business Partners to allocate spend, identifying potential opportunities and mitigating risks, creating a quarterly financial model to review with Senior Management and making all updates in our financial systems (Hyperion).• Created alignment between Business Partners for all Platform related headcount tracking and reporting. Person of contact for all headcount budget requests within the Platform Division.
