Product Owner of Asset Backed Suite (ABS). An app sourced from Moody's Analytics to aggregate daily feeds of securitization trust account loan data for the purpose of producing monthly reports for the Securities & Exchange Commission and 3rd party investors in JP Morgan’s credit card asset backed debt. This began as a tech refresh project to convert a legacy thick client into a web app deployed to a PROD/DR pair of single tenet, Microsoft IIS and SQL Server hosts. Over the course of the tech refresh I worked closely with Moody’s to customize the Active Directory authentication and authorization interfaces to conform to JPMC controls; helped develop install/uninstall automation scripts for porting ABS into new data centers; tracked and fixed breaks detected by static scans of the code base; and produced detailed documentation for the development & support teams on all aspects of the ABS tech stack .

Member of Residential Device Telemetry Data (RDK) Analytics group.Responsible for the design, coding and maintenance of AWS data pipelines to aggregate quality of service metrics pushed from the field to track device failures, customer service calls and to manage the deployment of new firmware releases. Created data visualization dashboards in Tableau for product development teams and upper management consumption. Instituted comprehensive knowledge management practices and Wiki documentation to track dashboard inventory, data source dependencies, update jobs, job scheduling and associated critical resources to facility the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of all the above. Moved into the RDK/QA group in 2020 to beef up team’s capabilities to take on an expansion of product responsibilities while still actively working on development tickets.Major component of the technology stack include Java, Python, Spring, AWS (S3, Redshift, Aurora), Splunk, Tableau, SQL, Unix Shell Scripts, Run Deck Job Exec Tool, Confluence, Jira, GIT and Jenkins.

Member of Content Delivery team; tasked with aggregating, transforming and loading medical licensure exam metadata between an assorted ecosystem of in-house and 3rd party (BTL/Surpass) exam design, editing and presentation platforms.Project work involved writing XSLT (HTML to XML) transformation utilities; JUnit test suites; Spring Boot REST services development; and Sonar analysis code hardening.

Member of Trading Team responsible for portfolio modeling and trading enhancements to the Envestnet Unified Management Platform (UMP), the financial engine that drives our suite of Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager trading tools.Project work to date includes enhancing portfolio and model construction workflows; product rebalance frequency calc and job scheduling; model change auditing; parameterizing control of trading business logic; account grid display filtering/grouping; security investment style mapping/graphing and SQL Server query optimization. Work encompasses full stack development, unit test and product release support. Code is based on Java 7 with in-house frameworks supporting the MVC product architecture. A combination of GWT, JSPs and our own custom tag library support the GUI. UMP is deployed across a Tomcat cluster

Replaced two German contractors responsible for maintaining core business logic in Java storefront, catalog and back office modules of enterprise ecommerce platform called ECP.Worked as a member of a small agile scrum team tasked to provide product enhancements on a two week sprint cycle. Fixed critical bugs in full product technology stack to clear client issues prior to eBay Enterprise sale to VC holding companies.Created an Oracle package of PL/SQL stored procedures to perform bulk catalog product image modifications in production data too onerous to perform through back office GUI.Wrote SQL to detect and fix edge case abnormalities in customer data that threw off product availability and completeness checking logic intended to control if, when and for how long products should appear and be cartable in storefront.Wrote XML/JSON/CSV data feed module for a prototype product availability/completeness checker REST web-service.Wrote JUnit and Selenium test automation scripts for code modules under stewardship.Wrote detailed test procedures and created test data for QA to validate bug fixes.Participated in code reviews and solution brain-storming exercises with colleagues.

Responsible for full SDLC of new features that cut through MVC vertical stack of IP Address Management (IPAM) product called IPControl.Estimated effort, designed, coded and JUnit tested features within a Java7, Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript/GWT continuous integration build environment managed by Jenkins.Tracked development progress and bug status through JIRA; used Subversion as code repository. Wrote high/low level design specs, QA test plans, user manual documentation and help desk training materials for feature assignments.Product deployed in Tomcat servlet coupled to Oracle, MySQL and H2 (in-memory) back ends. Feature work included;DHCP and DNS Server Configuration - wrote modules to auto generate DHCP server dhcpd.conf files; DNS server named.conf and forward/reverse zone files to push out to supported BINDx, Cisco, Microsoft and Lucent IPv4/IPv6 network services.IPv4 Auto Address Allocation - wrote a rules engine to intelligently auto-allocate new IPv4 address pools within a subnet taking into account free space preferences and CIDR boundaries.SOAP web-service and command line APIs for CRUD access to IPAM infrastructure consisting of organizations, networks, subnets, IPv4/IPv6 address pools, DNS domains/zones, DHCP/DNS servers and individual IP devices (e.g. routers, switches, PCs and printers).Schema Maintenance - wrote Perl/Ruby/SQL scripts to handle Oracle, MySQL and H2 schema changes encountered during nightly build cycles and product point/patch release upgrades.Data Integrity - wrote SQL scripts to handle data import/export/migration and scrubbing for continuous integration and GA releases.Greatly contributed to extending the IPControl business layer, ORM model and schema to accommodate the expansion of the internet address space from IPv4 (32-bit) to IPv6 (128-bit).Made primary maintainer of the IPControl schema and ORM object model to ensure new additions followed precise naming and OOD pattern conventions.

In 2005 Lucent realized their flagship IPAM product, VitalQIP, would need to be redesigned to accommodate the Internet’s IPv4 (32-bit) to IPv6 (128-bit) address expansion. Customer feedback drove the decision to also take this opportunity to convert the legacy C++ thick client version of the product into a full featured Tomcat hosted Java web application.Led effort to identify the architecture, technologies and tools required to accomplish port.Steered team to adopt a 5-tier MVC system design (coded to interfaces to isolate layers) that heavily leveraged infrastructure and services provided by the Spring, Hibernate and Qooxdoo (AJAX) frameworks.Introduced Eclipse IDE to team and wrote initial Ant scripts to clean, build, deploy VitalQIP to Tomcat.Introduced concept AOP to team. Heavily contributed to defining the aspects, advise and joinpoints where the advice would be applied in the business layer. AOP provided access control, logging, performance monitoring, and transaction management services in product.Reversed engineered legacy schema into Hibernate ORM class model.Architected means to auto-generate Oracle and Sybase schemas, indexes and constraints from ORM object model through XDoclet2 markup and Java5 annotations added to the model classes. This solved problem of how to keep the ORM model and instantiated database objects in sync; all the metadata needed to build a database instance was defined in one place.Architected means to auto-generate data dictionary from schema to help other developers and QA understand the purpose of every table & column in the 280 table design.Primary maintainer of the schema and ORM object model to ensure new additions followed precise naming and OOD pattern conventions.Wrote initial Spring ApplicationContext.xml file to handle creating a hibernate data source, session factory and to auto-wire component objects in interface impls.Conducted product usability reviews and Web navigation workflow analysis.

Designed database exception handling, a BCP data load utility and post-load data reconciliation process for Bank's high net worth web portal.E-Duction: Payroll Deduction Card - Developed Oracle 9i PL/SQL packages to manage transactional data transfers between web app, payroll system, and credit providers. Created stored procedures to reconcile employee record sets and generate form-letter content files.Citigroup: PBG Web-Portal - Handled bug clean up and implemented missing functionality involving a Reuters Ticker Service lookup engine and its XML/XSTL, JavaScript user interface.

Ensoniq was a manufacturer of audiophile quality hearing aids, PC sound cards, digital musical instruments (keyboards and synthesizers) and pro-audio signal processing devices.Wrote C/C++/68000 assembly code to implement device drivers, user interface displays, parameter editors and OS code loaders for real-time embedded audio processing products.Regularly performed debugging to the CPU register level. Projects included;PARIS Digital Audio Workstation - Designed and coded platform independent digital reverb, chorus, pitch shifter, equalization and dynamics controller GUI screens for Win/Mac based digital audio editor. Used Adobe Photoshop as principle rending tool.DP-Pro Multi-Effects Processor - Designed and coded a real-time dual DSP audio effects engine OS, microcode signal routing shell, parameter update routines and an LFO signal modulation sub-system. Design allowed independent microcode blocks to be seamlessly replaced within running algorithms without audible side effects.Soundscape PC Sound Card - Designed and coded wavetable audio sample lookup manager/server.

Lexicon invented digital delay, reverberation and time compression devices for the modern recording studio. They were in fact the gold standard for this technology. If your studio or tour rig didn't contain their products then you weren't taken seriously by the elite musicians and engineers making hit records. I joined this company as a repair technician and left a software engineer. As a Software Engineer: Represented company at trade shows to demo product, answer customer questions, gather ideas and to snoop on the competition.Wrote MIDI, user interface and operating system code in C for multi-tasking, 68000 based digital reverberation product built around two proprietary Lexicon DSP engines.M300 Multi-Effects Processor - Redesigned the user interface and wrote non-DSP system software for second product release. Significant enhancements included adding a MIDI time code reader, LFO parameter modulation and a Mac based effects algorithm parameter editor.As a Hardware Engineer: Designed PCM95 Digital Delay pre/post AD-DA converter analog signal path.Prototyped circuit designs for proof of concept and component evaluation. Performed Telesis (an early CAD system) circuit board layout, EMF/RFI testing and wrote Audio Precision test automation scripts to pass/fail product performance specs after coming off the production line in regard to frequency response, noise floor, harmonic and intermodulation distortion performance.Authored troubleshooting section of product user guides. As a Test Technician:Worked on full product line, verified newly manufactured equipment met specs and was ready for shipment. Troubleshot problems and performed repairs as needed. Developed product diagnostic software, automation test scripts and hardware fixtures for PCB component level trouble shooting. This experience gave me thorough understanding of analog and digital circuitry and the ability to competently use a variety of electronic test equipment.
