I am the enterprise telecom program lead at the Legislative Data Center for the State of California, Office of Legislative Counsel. I am fortunate to work with amazing colleagues here at the OLC, and that is the key reason I have worked here as long as I have. I am consistently challenged by enterprise telecom projects and technology, but the critical part of any I.T. job is the people: the relationships you forge, the teams you’re on, and the understanding of how colleagues and customers use the technology you support. It takes great people to maintain the relationship between that technology and the enterprise’s core business.Sometimes it seems like I am a long way from the kid with the English Literature degree looking for a steady career to support a young family. Although my educational focus was in the humanities, it is very much related to my I.T. career in that I strive to be able to perform critical analysis, do deep research dives, and make connections and see patterns.I am a native Sacramentan, and I love our “big city" that still feels like a small town. I love to travel, hike, camp, bike, write, and work out; play music and sports; and hang out with my grown kids, my friends, and my polydactyl cat. I coached youth sports for many years when my kids were younger, but recently my extracurricular time has been devoted to the International Avaya Users Group, a volunteer role about which I am passionate.I am open to new opportunities whether professional, charitable, or industry-related.
