Roles & Responsibilities:Commercial:Pricing Strategy: Work closely with sales and marketing personnel to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies. Deep dive into customer business, RFP requirements and FedEx competitive position to optimize profitability & win ratio. Devise strategies to retain current business and bring new incremental business while meeting profit requirementsCustomer insights: Develop understanding on customers, market segments, and competitive landscape/ industry trends. analyze customer transactional data and develop comprehensive insights on customer to optimize product/ service offering & value proposition, and to drive pricing decisionsGovernance: Develop policies & procedures for pricing analysis & approvals. Understand price boundaries, floor & target price setting and ensure to have adequate internal controls & compliance mechanism, to prevent revenue leakage. Bring forward risk & benefits through analysis and get required approvalsPricing models/ analysis: Good understanding on pricing models/ systems, revenue & cost structures, contribution & operating margins and P&L views; develop & enhance pricing models. Provide pricing recommendations to the commercial organization with supporting analysis

• MIS Management for Pricing Manager and VP Commercial :> Assist in providing pricing support – both planned and ad hoc requests> Assist in preparation of pricing strategy and reports (Daily, weekly & Monthly) from country billing files and regional tools (GSMART,CARAT)> Assist on annual GPI activity (planning & execution)> Gather information on competition rates / offers for record and internal analysis.> Be a part of SPA preparation and action points’ execution.> Prepare, maintain and manage customer rate sheets of all sales channels> Assist on all key pricing related projects> Assist Pricing Manager in management presentation and business indicator analysis.> Provide pricing support on customer RFQ’s and offer market aligned pricing, keeping guidelines in view.> Provide consistent one off pricing, as per guidelines> Provide customer rate sheets prepare revised proposal on demand> Assist on business development related projects> Work together to produce reports and analysis for use by functional departments and management business decisions> Publish market pricing trends with the help of transportation team• Stakeholder Management :Sales• Prepare regional reports and help key stake holders (Regional Managers, CIDM’s) on margin improvement activitiesSSC / Billing• Regular interactions on rates updates and queries, GPI support, Adhoc rates confirmations• Ensure error free rate sheet preparationTransportation (Operations)• Regular interaction with transportation team and keep track of market rates (Airline seasonal charts) changes and publish seasonal market rate charts.
